Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Zentigo Travels collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If you have any question about it, email zentigotravels@gmail.com.

Who we are

Zentigo Travels is a travel company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, providing private drivers, tour guides, airport transfers and tour packages. For the purposes of data protection law, Zentigo Travels is the data controller for information submitted through this site.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into an enquiry form. Depending on the form, that is:

• Your name
• Your email address and WhatsApp or telephone number
• Your country of residence, where you provide it
• Travel details: dates, number of travellers, pickup and drop-off points, vehicle preference, the itinerary you are interested in, and anything you write in the message field
• The page the enquiry was sent from, and the date and time it was sent

We do not ask for passport numbers, payment card details or any other sensitive information through this website.

Why we use it

We use your information to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation or itinerary, and arrange the vehicle, driver and any bookings your trip requires. Where we need to share details with a driver, guide or accommodation provider to deliver your trip, we share only what that arrangement requires.

The legal basis for this processing is your request: you contacted us so that we could provide a service, and we take steps toward a contract with you. We do not add you to a marketing list and we do not send newsletters unless you specifically ask us to.

Who processes it for us

• SendGrid (Twilio Inc.) delivers enquiry emails from this website to our inbox and sends you a confirmation.
• Our email provider stores the enquiry in our mailbox so that we can reply and keep a record of your booking.
• Our hosting provider operates the server this website runs on and keeps standard server access logs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies

This website sets one essential cookie, used only to protect the enquiry forms against automated abuse. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies. If we add website analytics in future, this policy will be updated first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for up to 24 months, so that we can pick up a conversation if you come back to us. Booking correspondence is kept for as long as we need it for accounting and tax purposes under Sri Lankan law.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email zentigotravels@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to processing, to request that we restrict it, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Enquiries are transmitted to our inbox over an authenticated API connection, and access to that inbox is restricted to the Zentigo Travels team.

International transfers

We operate from Sri Lanka. If you contact us from outside Sri Lanka, your information will be transferred to and stored in Sri Lanka, and by our email and delivery providers in the countries where they operate.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
